High Throughput / Automation

Laboratory automation is an efficient solution to process large numbers of samples in one run. Liquid-handling workstations with pre-programmed steps allow for high-throughput workflows. The benefits of an automated workflow include higher accuracy and reproducibility, minimal effort, lower error rates, and large time savings compared to manual methods.

With our foodproof RoboPrep+ Series both sample preparation and PCR setup can be performed in one automated system. This unique, automated system utilizes our high quality kits for isolation and purification of bacterial DNA from all kinds of food matrices as well as subsequent PCR setup. Specifically, the foodproof Magnetic Preparation Kit I is designed, optimized, and validated for the extraction of high quality DNA with our automated system.

To fulfill individual customer demands, six different types of work stations have been designed. These automated systems come equipped with a pipetting arm and choice of two or eight channels. These work stations allow for both DNA extraction and PCR setup of up to 96 samples simultaneously (depending on the size of the device).
